Disney's California Adventure

We decided before leaving San Antonio that we wanted to take Melany to Disney's California Adventure. And to be honest, I felt so exhausted from all the activities that weekend that we almost didn't go. But I figured I would take one for the team and suck it up.

Well, I'm glad I did because we had a great time. Emily joined us which was nice because I was only able to watch Melany and get on the baby rides due to my pregnancy and nausea. Melany really liked the Little Mermaid and Monsters Inc. ride, carousel and taking pictures with Mickey and Princess Sophia.

Athena and Ashish's wedding!

I spend the night on Saturday in the hotel room with Athena. Actually, I shared a bed with one of my favorite gals. She is my sister in law but she almost feels like my long lost sister. She is so kind, patient, understanding and genuine. Did I mention she is gorgeous?

It was  Thanksgiving 2012 when we were riding in a car back to LA from San Diego. She wanted my opinion on whether she should get to know Ashish. I said something like "sure, give it a try.. you never know what could happen."

And there we were on March 2, 2014, Athena and Ashish's wedding day. It was a beautiful wedding, beautiful yacht, beautiful atmosphere. The beach, the flowers, the excitement! Being a bridesmaid gave me a chance to see a lot of behind the scenes of how hard both worked to make this day so memorable.

The love for the couple was felt by both sides of the family. Their true love is evident. And Athena couldn't be/look more beautiful and happy. Everything turned out great! Everyone looked so sharp and the happiness was felt throughout the whole event. It was the first time we met Ashish. And I could tell he is madly in love with her and vise versa.

                                                    Truly a fairy tale wedding!

Day #3 in LA- Family Photos at the Korean Bell

I've been working on a digital photography certification through Kennesaw University. I still have a lot of  "hands on" work to do to be comfortable with taking photos. But I thought it would be fun to  take some shots of the family.

It was so hard to take these photos as there was so much rain and wind that I could barely keep the lens dry. Nonetheless, I did the best I could to capture the beauty and fun that comes from families. The photos took a good part of the day for us in LA on our 3rd day there (Saturday). We went to Mulligans after and it was nice to catch up with family members.

I really enjoyed capturing all the families individually and as a whole. As you can tell, they are a funny bunch!

Day 1 in LA

I was literally counting down the days in the calendar at my office. I was very excited to see my family again as it had been almost 9 months since we've been to LA, and more than a year for Enoch. I couldn't wait to see  the happy faces of my Mother, sister Emily and brother Kevin. And I couldn't wait to see the Trefflichs! I really was getting home sick so this trip couldn't come any sooner.

Melany is at that age where she knows what an airplane is and can talk about how she feels about people, things. She was however, her usual self being impatient and agitated at the lines and getting through security. All I kept saying was "Lord, please give me patience with this child."

Finally we were on the plane and she was surprisingly quiet and amazed at how the plane departed and was not scared at all. It was fun to show her downtown LA from the sky and I was even happy to see the smoke and sky scrappers! Haha..

Grandma Trefflich picked us up from the airport and drove us to my favorite Chinese place. It was soo good! Too bad I had to share one plate with two very hungry travelers. Enoch and Melany gobbled up the food!

We then visited my uncle and later on went to dinner with Aba, and Emily at my favorite restaurant, El Pollo Inka. My brother Kevin and his girlfriend, Aurora met us there. We were so happy to be surrounded by those we love.

Tea Party for two!

I feel so relieved I can finally say the reason of why I've felt so miserable/overjoyed these past 3 months. I am pregnant again with Baby #2!! I have been so nauseous, tired, exhausted and vomiting. This has made it very hard pregnancy as I have felt like I'm on a boat constantly! But now as I'm almost in my second trimester, I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I still have some of the symptoms, but not nearly as bad as the past 3 months.

I found out I was pregnant at work. I wanted to "rule it out" because I thought I was getting dizzy due to the stress and maybe another medical condition. I was not expecting it so soon, but Enoch and I were praying for God to guide us for a good time to expand our family. After the amazement about the power of God, I felt so overjoyed that I was going to be mommy again. And this time it is extra special because I get to share it with my Melany. I told Enoch a day before Christmas Eve. He was equally surprised but very happy!

I took some photos of Melany today to announce this pregnancy. Melany insisted her "Baby" join in the photos. She is going to be a great big sister!
