Mother's Day 2015

The day before Mother's Day, Enoch kindly took care of the girls while I ran a 5k. My ex coworkers, who I still keep in contact with, got together to do the fun Color Vibe 5K Run. It was nice to catch up and be splattered with colorful powder as we listened to Music.

On Mother's Day, Enoch and the girls brought me breakfast in bed. Melany drew me a beautiful birthday card and got lots of hugs. We then went to church and I taught a lesson on the Power of Scriptures. Enoch is almost done with the playground but has not yet finished painting due to the rain. But, Melany hasn't been able to resist playing on the monkey bars, swing, slide, and chalkboard.
Overall,  it was a physically, emotionally and spiritually uplifting weekend.

Last Music class

The last Music class was this Monday. Melany has really blossomed musically while attending. She was exposed to different instruments, genres of Music and social interaction with others. There was a theme each month and parents volunteered to teach/coordinate the songs according to the theme. Melany learned not only the words of the songs, but also body movement, played with puppets, learned sign language words and had good social interaction. I feel really glad we attended the since September 2014.

Maya was excited to see the rabbit too!

Pre-school Co-op field trip at Sea World

Last Thursday we took the kids from the Pre-school co-op to Sea World as one of the last field trips. Melany had a great time with Ronnie, Jane, and Katelyn and Ronnie's little brother, Layne. Melany was a trooper getting on some rides by herself since I had Maya. The kids watched a show, played in the park and saw exhibits. I rode a roller coaster with Morgan while Meagan watched the kids. We all loved it!

Spring Photos 2015

I couldn't resist taking family pictures with the wildflowers that grow every year in the Spring in Texas. We took our tripod and different lenses to Northwest Vista college, about 5 minutes away from our home. We walked around the college's trails and found neat spots for capturing the lush greenery. It was fun to walk around but it was a bit humid and of course I got bit by about 10+ mosquitos! And if I look very tired, it's because I have been. The girls have been sick and sleeping late.

But we really wanted to get this pictures done before Mother's day. I love taking pictures of Enoch and the girls and see them interact with each other. The girls wore the matching dresses Aunt Athena gave them for Christmas and I made them the headbands. They look so stinking cute!
I love the colors, lighting and flowers in the pictures!

The tripod chopped Enoch's head..haha.. still a beautiful picture though!
I think Maya was searching for mosquitoes

April Happenings

We saw a lot of rain in April which made for indoor activities like watching movies, cleaning, playing, reading, studying for exams(Enoch) and coordinating/making baby items for a baby shower. I went to TimeOut for Women with ladies in the ward and stayed overnight in a hotel. That same Friday the 10th, I was able to be present for Jackie's baptism, the investigator I've been helping the missionaries with. I also gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.
