Texas Sandfest+ beach fun

Today we headed to the Texas Sandfest in Corpus Christi to see the fascinating sand sculptures at Port Aransas. This is one of the largest beach festivals in Texas. Interestingly, Port Aransas is the only established town on Mustang Island and is located north of Padre Island. It is on the Corpus Christi Bay, and the Gulf of Mexico.

We had a blast at the beach enjoying the cool ocean breeze. I was born on a house by the beach, grew up by the beach all my life and to not have it near me anymore has been sad. So hence, we were elated to see the ocean and play with the sand and the warm water. The weather was perfect, sure we got sunburned, but it was so worth it! The sand sculptures were so unique! We will definitely be back to Corpus Christi since it is only a 2.5 hour car rideJ

Never mind Melany, we had a great time!

Fiesta Farm

Sonia is a huge horse lover and was so happy to take a picture with this beauty
This weekend we went to the Fiesta Farm. It is a small Ranch on the outer part of San Antonio which has a petting zoo, pony rides, a playground and more. Melany was a little afraid of the animals at first, but did get a little more comfortable around the bunnies and goats (as long as mommy and daddy were near). We got a bunch of corn in an ice cream cone as well which we fed to the chickens and ducks and they swarmed around us to get their fair share. Then, strangely enough, the donkey ate the ice cream cone. There was a bubble machine that blew hundreds of bubbles out at once which Melany really enjoyed.

Our first visit to Sea World San Antonio

We live 5 minutes from Sea World and  all we've been doing since we got here is looking for a house to buy and settling in to the area. But we finally made it a priority to go to Sea World on Saturday. We really liked the park and plan to buy the season pass for Enoch and I. Melany was very well behaved and was at awe during the shows. We were so happy to see her so amazed and curious at all the sea animals.

Melany was not very fond of this sea star

4 year anniversary

Enoch and I had our 4 year anniversary on Thursday April 11. We were busy that day since I had a job interview and our friend Chris wanted to come visit us since he was on his way to Florida. We had dinner with Chris at County Line Restaurant on the Riverwalk. I thought it was so interesting that he visited us on our anniversary since he is the one to thank for Enoch and I dating. We were so shy and uninterested in dating anyone at the time but our friend insisted we give each other a shot. So thanks Chris! Because of his persistence, I met my dear husband on November 16, 2007.
Enoch gave me some roses for our anniversary and took me to a fancy, schmancy Brazilian Churrasceria near the Riverwalk on Friday. We later took a cruise and tour of the San Antonio Riverwalk. We had such a good time celebrating this special event.

Melany asked me to take pictures with her, what a good idea!
