My family came over on Friday at around one am. Melany was still awake since she was so excited her Aba, Aunt Emily and Uncle Kevin were coming. When she first saw them at the airport, she was shocked but very happy! That Friday was Melany's Birthday so we sang Happy Birthday to her in the airport. She was smiling from ear to ear. That same day, we headed to Houston to say hi to our Grandma. We grabbed some Sprinkles cupcakes and Grandma(Aba) even bought a dozen cupcakes for Melany's party the next day. On Saturday, we headed to Downtown San Antonio, walked around the Alamo, and had lunch at the Riverwalk. Kevin and Aba left that Sunday.
On Tuesday, Emily and I had a nice 1.5 hour road trip to University of Texas at Austin. Emily wants to be a Pediatrician so it was nice to hear UT Austin also has a Medical school there. It was a beautiful campus and Emily really enjoyed it. After the tour, we went back home and the girls wanted to go to the swimming pool so we did. The funnest part was all of us sliding down the tall, fast water slide.
On Wednesday, all of us headed to The University of Texas A&M for another tour. It was a 3.5 hour trip but it was nice to view the huge campus and all the facilities, including their Medical School building. On our way back, we stopped by the San Antonio Temple since Emily hadn't seen it. Melany was singing to her Auntie primary songs on our way there.
And sadly, out last visitor, Emily left for LA on Thursday. We had so much fun with everyone and like always I loved having the extra help with the girls, specially the laughs and good company.
