Visit to the San Antonio Witte Museum

It has been called “one of the most sophisticated and powerful civilizations of all time.” So we had to see a special exhibit at the Witte Museum titled, Maya: Hidden Worlds Revealed. Mayans are close to my heart since my Grandfather and his ancestors on his Mother's side were Mayan. And we named our second Daughter Maya as a tribute to her ancestors. The Mayan exhibit was an interactive experience where we went through various stations learning facts and observing maps, pictures, and artifacts of the Mayans. We learned about the Mayan culture, language and their contribution to society.

We then walked around to another building called the H-E-B Body Adventure. All the floors have interactive areas to promote health and wellness. We had a great time!

The entrance to the Witte has this cute elephant

I asked Maya to and Maya to smile next to Maya's name, this was their reaction.

On our way out, we saw these ducks. Maya was so happy to see them.

This sculpture beautifully depicts Motherhood:)
