March Happenings

I’m trying to really catch up on our posts. We are waay behind! Life has been so busy and we are finally settling down a bit.

Here are some highlights from the month of March:

-Maya had her outpatient procedure to have her ear tubs inserted.

-March is Social Work month-had fun celebrating and attending an ethics conference at Methodist Hospital nearby. Our agency did a great job making us feel appreciated:)

-Attended the first weekend of part 1 of training at Houston for EMDR, below is a brief description of what EMDR is, in case anyone is interested.
From the EMDR website: “EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.”

Enjoying Sprinkles cupcakes for picking me up in the airport
Trying to reach for the pool from the park side
Hair cut time!
Melany took this picture of me working out, with my dress pajamas and sneakers, all the while Maya sits on me-Haha!

A day before Easter- Melany decorated eggs and made Easter crafts

And we had lunch outside

Later that day we took family photos on a flower field- we took these with our phone

We can't wait to see the images from the photographer
Easter day-when the girls got their baskets

Taking pictures was not an easy task

After pulling at each others hair, they made up with hugs

This is as good as it got
our roses/flowers are growing

At my job's social work luncheon
What a surprise to see my office decorated for social work month!

I made the girls favorite-home made pancakes

Maya is obsessed with this house and all the keys that open the various doors

Melany making funny faces in the lobby while her Sister had her procedure done
